UC Irvine MEPN 2022

Hello all! 

I didn't see a thread for UCI MEPN 2022 so thought I would create one. At this point, the work is done and applications are submitted...but there's plenty to still agonize about (the 3-5% acceptance rate, for one). Does anyone have intel on whether there will be interviews, and if so, when they might be? The website says acceptance notifications will be sent "starting in March", but I haven't found anything else more concrete.

Hey! I also applied for this cycle. From attending an info session, it looks like virtual interviews will be held in “early 2022”. I’m guessing that means January-February!

Hi, I applied as well! Thank you for starting this thread :). 

I'm not too sure when interviews will be held, but I noticed in the past forums that the interviews were pre-recorded videos that you sent in of yourself answering prompts given by the admissions committee. Not sure if this will be applicable to our application cycle but guess we'll just have to wait and see! Best of luck to y'all :).

@Dreaming Still waiting as well! I went to an info session last year, but I had also watched a recorded session on Youtube at some point. I am not able to find it after a quick search but you might be able to if you have some time!

I also received an interview invitation via email. How are you guys planning on preparing? I was hoping they would give us some sample questions but it seems like they won't be.

I also got an invitation to interview. I am beyond nervous and would love to hear about how the questions are (if they are about us or situational based questions) and how others are preparing. Good luck everyone!
