TWU houston pre-req confusion.....

Published

Hey everyone! I am starting this thread in hopes of alleviating some confusion for TWU applicants. I hope someone can answer me..... I am curious about the pre-req difference versus UTMB and UTHSC. I am applying to both of those at the end of this semester for the Fall 2012. I am thinking of applying to TWU as well, but I am under the impression that there are several additional classes that need to be taken to meet the pre-req transfer guidelines. Does anybody know the difference between the program pre-req's? I would greatly appreciate any input on this, because honestly I annot seem to find the answer on my own. Looking at their website confused me more because it looked like there where SEVERAL additional classes required to apply. Thanks for any input!!

Very Confused.....

Hello! For TWU if you have been core completed at another tx college then you do not need to complete TWUs core curriculum. In addition you must complete ap 1&2, chemistry-4 credits, microbiology, nutrition, stats-if you haven't taken it, gov, us hist, and lifespan for the program. If you're confused just let me know. Hope this helps

I spoke to a lady at TWU yesterday and it looks like I am not gonna be applying to their program for the Fall 2012. I will have 50 hrs at the end of this semester, all my sciences finished etc, but apparently because I have yet to take Nutrition (registered for the Spring already) I cannot apply. It makes no sense to me :( They told me that they class must be finished and the grade available when I apply, there are only a few classes like that (all the sciences and then nutrition). Oh well! If I cannot get into UTMB or UTHSC for the Fall 2012 then I will apply for the Spring to all 3 programs. Thanks for the info.....

Oh yea, for their program you must have all your sciences, statistics, lifespan, and nutrition completed before applying. :( sorry about that! you're welcome.
