Hi! In response to your question regarding management of care, these items are included Nurse/client relationship,patient's/ client's bill of rights, restraints, advocacy, legal issues, managed care, assignment vs delegation, critical thinking, decision making, problem solving, distribution of resources, documentation, incident reports, change of shift report, cultural norms, ethics, patient education, and discharge planning/home care. Review these areas in a NCLEX study guide so you will know what you need to know in these categories. Wish you the best !!!
Sorry, I misunderstood what you were asking. To answer your question regarding "triage and disaster " you need to know which patients to see first in a disaster(red -most unstable,1st category to be seen, need care to save life)yellow-stable,can wait a few minutes, 2nd to be seen, green-stable(walking wounded) can wait longer,3rd to be seen,black-injuries are usually fatal, provide support/comfort,4th to be seen, DOA is last...........remember to do greatest good for greatest number of people-think if this is done it will save 1 life but if this is done it will save 10 lives.People with lesser injuries can be delegated to help others injured. Nursing responsibilities during disasters may exceed normal nursing role. You may have to improvise with what you have. These are some of the things you need to know. Hope it helps.
thank you passion4people, i understand all you said, im trying to found out why i keep on failing management of care in the nclex-rn test.
