hey, just trying to get a feel for how many travel nurses travel while leaving their spouses behind. i have done this a couple times but have always been close enough to pop in for a three day weekend. this time i am continplating doing a 13 week which is about 1200 miles away, so no popping in. my husband is disabled, a parapalegic, so right now he wants me to go on my own without having to deal with the disabled living situation right of. and i have plenty of great girls i trust to help him out while i am gone, and he is pretty independent for the most part. he is very supportive of this, we both know that being together 24/7 would be pretty destuctive. i cant help feeling a little guilty tho by leaving. my plan is to o one assignment, come home and do some per diem things around home for two or three months then take off again. anyway, does anyone else do a variation of this at all...travel for 3 months, then go home and reconnect? if so, do you find it works for you and how long have you made it work for?
