I just finished my first travel assignment. I say go for it! Lots of areas hold nurses down with low pay and abuse. Travel, get paid well, and see what other places offer. Make sure you get all the info you need... pt-nurse ratio, techs-patients ratio, amount it costs you to break a contract (in case it is a real BAD place). They should pay housing and give you at least $30 an hour. Part of that $30 an hour should be tax free.
