I NEVER worked for a travel nursing agency and I would like to start. I heard of

Faststaff

American Mobile

Advantage

Cross County

Nurse Rx

TalMed

I would appreciate any advice please help and insight on any of the companies I mentioned.

Call them and learn! Not only about travel and details, but how they spin the BS, and how they interact with you. Forget about the agency brand and most things you read about them up or down, you are looking for great recruiters that you communicate well with. Your recruiter is way way more important than the agency brand.

thank- you for the advice

Someone else posted mostly the same thing. Do some research and call these companies. I can from personal experience say stay away from American mobile, they take advantage of newbies to travel (I was one of those once upon a time), but the other companies are legit. Try searching for travel nursing review sites. Contact the companies, try talking with a recruiter. You really need a recruiter you can trust and that will take a lot of communication. Best of luck to you.

While I stand by my assertion that the agency brand doesn't matter much compared with finding good recruiters, Fastaff is not an agency to recommend to a new traveler. Experienced travelers who understand Fastaff's market, fine, but too much risk for a new traveler. By their very nature of their business, Fastaff has fewer assignments available that would be a suitable first assignment. I should have caught that in my first post.
