I'm considering buying an exercise machine weighing about 130 lbs. Any ideas on how I could move this with me? Does anyone know of inexpensive moving companies to move such an item? I'm gonna be skinny! Thanks!

I probably wouldn't buy it. As a travel nurse its not something one is going to want to move every 13 wks or so. Besides my travel company so far has placed my in apartment complexes that have fitness centers, so no need for my own.

Rj:rolleyes:

Most apt complexes where you are placed have gyms on site.

However, if you need to have your own, check with a local pack and ship company in your area and it can be crated and shipped as freight........

Just had some things shipped that way from Phoenix and they arrived two days later by FedEx Freight...........

Can anyone tell me what my husband and I would need to bring to an assignment, other than our clothes and the dog?

Are most of the placements in apartment complexes? If so what do you do for furniture? Do we need linens, and in places like L.A. what do you do about parking?

This is my first hitch at traveling, although I have been a nurse 29 years. I will only be working in Corrections and my only condition is that it be warm. Any advise or helpful hints would be very appreciated.

Depends on your agency and where they place you 100%. There are some, like mine, that provide literally everything. You only need your clothes, make-up and a hair dryer. There are others that only provide basic furniture. First, find out what they are going to provide for you then go from there... :)
