Hello all!
I am currently an RN of 2 years with one year of Trauma/Med-Surg experience and about 9 months of ICU/ Neuro ICU experience. Prior to becoming an RN, I was an LPN with 2 years of experience divided between home health and LTAC. I have been considering travel nursing lately and I just wanted to get some opinions from nurses with more experience besides my colleagues.
Thank you all for your time!

What sort of opinions are you looking for?
A common general response will be two years experience needed in the specialty you want to travel in, from travelers to many agencies. And the reality is that hospitals pay agencies the same flat rate per hour no matter the experience level. So you will not be competitive with travelers with more experience for better assignments, and if you travel with just a year, you may get stuck with assignments from hell that cannot get more experienced travelers.

I want to travel in Med-Surg/Tele, Tele, Stepdown and ICU if I can. I’m pretty flexible about the specialties. I’m just trying to get an idea of how things are going to work out with my experience more so than anything else.
No idea how things will work out with your experience.
