I work in Broward county now full time in a level one trauma center ER. Looking to do local travel. What companies r the best to sign upwith the first time. Also I want to stay in Florida. Like palm beach county. And as far north as Jupiter. Anyone work in ERs in those areas? And give me some feed back of the good and bad. And whay is the hourly rate? And i want good health insurance too Thanks. Oh and HCA HOSPITALS SUCK. SO I don't want to use them

Seems like HCA and Parallon pretty much have monopolized the whole area. I don't know of any other agencies down there. The agency Parallon nurses got paid about $32/hr plus shift differentials. I worked at JFK and West Palm (Columbia), thought they were decent. I guess it depends on your expectations. Most really nice hospitals and good places to work don't have many open spaces for agency or travelers. I heard that the west side of ft laud and palm Beach county really really need nurses, but no one wants to work there bc its terrible.
One other thing to keep in mind is that most travel agencies won't pay you the housing stipend unless you will be working 40-60 miles from your home address. So palm beach county may be too close to get the stipend. Travel nursing doesn't really pay well if you don't count the per diems and housing pay. The south Florida area is very competitive for travel nurses bc everyone wants to go there.

They are performing a very good role overall especially when we see things in a manner works perfectly. These people are fine enough.
