Hey all!
Looking at travel assignments in the LA area, its a toss up between USC float pool and Kaiser Sunset ICU. Anyone have any experience? Words of wisdom? Housing I should keep an eye out for??

If you know where you want to live, that might decide which would work better for you. What do you know about where you'd be living? Would you be finding your own housing?
I wish I could give you some insight on the work environments because that would seem most crucial. Best of luck!
I usually take company housing and I know I would rather *live* up by Kaiser Sunset.... but I don't want to take a job thats a nightmare for one that would be awesome if its only for the housing.
I've heard bad things about Kaisers, but I haven't heard much about Kaiser Sunset...

SFrom past experience, I would never work at a Kaiser facility again. They treat travelers like indentured servants. However USC is in not the best area, as long as they place you in safe housing USC would be the better deal. Good luck in your new assignment!

Don't go to Kaiser. Managers are evil and they only use cnas as sitters.

If you go to kaiser expect to float, have no Cna, they use them as sitters.

I worked at Kaiser West LA. All Kaisers aren't evil. I was housed right up the road from Kaiser Sunset in apts called Hollywood Place. They are on Hollywood Blvd. Great location depending on what you want to get out of the city.

Considering taking 1st travel nursing job with Nurses RX at Sunset Kaiser in PACU. Would like any info on either.
I dont know much about PACU but my travel friend worked in NICU at Sunset and loved it. Watch NursesRX though.
thank you for info. Where did your friend live? I have a 6 yr old daughter that I will need to put in school. Supposed to hear tomorrow if I got the travel assignment. My family and I want to get back to California but were not desperate. If the terms aren't good I'm not commiting. Can you give me more info. on what to watch our for with NurseRx.
im not very savvy with allnurses.com but message me privately and i will give you some examples.
I guess I am not able to send a private message-says you must have 15+ posts? Still have not got a final answer whether I got the assignment or not. Getting down to the wire. Would like to hear your comments about NursesRx. My email is [email protected]- thank you!
