Recently secured a 13-week travel nursing position at a major hospital in the Midwest. Currently, I have 1.5yrs experience at a Trauma II center (General, Robotics, GYN, GU, Ortho, ENT, Colorectal, and Plastics - No experience "truly" scrubbing). Just looking for "what to expect", "helpful hints", and "what was your experience?" type of advice. Appreciate your input!

Welcome to AN! Is this your first travel assignment? Are there different roles with this assignment? Will you both scrub and circulate? And what do you mean by "no experience truly scrubbing"? I hope you were upfront with the facility about your experience- if you are expected to scrub, you're going to be expected to be able to do so with essentially no orientation- travelers are expected to be able to jump right in with just a brief overview of facility and surgeon specifics. I don't want to scare you, but I've worked with a few travelers who scrubbed, and we ended up having to terminate their contracts early because they just didn't meet the expectations.
