can somebody help me on how to train nurses to take care of a neuro ICU patient.

As a former MedSurg nurse who now works in the Medical ICU, I know a big difference is the in depth neuro checks. I worked stroke overflow so I did lots of neuro checks but my patients only required them every four hours and they were fairly stable. I know our Neuro ICU has neuro checks hourly and they are much more in depth.
Also, educating on what part of the brain does what. I know we all know this to a degree but when I was in MedSurg I really only focused on right brain vs. left, not the different lobes and whatnot.
And also, the early early signs of and the progression of increasing ICP & herniation.
Hope I helped!
