At our facility we have been trailing nitrogycerin for Dopamine infiltrates that stage a 2 or less and with the doctors permission. We have had great success but need more info to prove that it is a good thing! Can anyone help? Or know where we can find more research?

whatever happed to regitene (?) that used to work pretty well?

To answer your ? peachy, regitine is still used at our facility also but we have found that there is less risk to the nurse using nitro paste vs. regitine. The most obivous is no need for several puncture sites in the area of the infiltrate which puts the nurse at risk for a needle stick. Plus it is less traumatic to the patient. Thanks for the ?
