I agree with you on this. Who makes that decision that your nursing license can be in jeopardy because of a "moral turpitude" clause? Whose morals get to make that call? Scary stuff that if the morality police are the decision makers.

That clause does make for one REALLY 'slippery slope'.

I actually once did some searching re 'moral turpitude'. And yes, it could become quite scarey if the 'turpitude police' mobilized.

There have been times when I've read something that I think "WOW. I remember reading one of some BON's newsletter that some nurse license WAS pulled for 'MT". Really made me wonder what that nurse had done.

What "website"? You will know if you have a felony.

Check on that 25 over part of the ticket. For example, in AZ going 20 over the speed limit is a felony and would most certainly caused a license denial for at least a few years. .

Not true. It's a Class 3 Misdemeanor. AZ Statute 28-701.02.

Get yourself a traffic attorney and get them reduced or thrown out. Might cost you a little bit but will keep them off your record, therefore keeping your auto insurance down. Again as someone said, if traffic tickets were reported to BOn there wouldn't be many nurses, me included. Ask around at work, they will likely have an attorney recommendation for you.

I'd be more pissed I got 4 tickets. That cop must have been having a bad du no he really took it out on you. I've got 2 speeding tickets in the same year. As many others said, it shouldn't affect your license.

Missouri puts out a newspaper and puts your name in it if you get out on probation/ revoked or loose your license. I've seen liscence in trouble for bouncing checks.
