Help!! I'm new to this site. I will be graduating from my MSN-FNP program by end of February next year, and I will be on the process of applying for NP certification from the CA BRN.
I read on the application form that all traffic violations, even if they are not related to drugs or alcohol as long as a fine of more than 300 USD need to be reported. Do you guys have an idea what they do with your report? Do they post in the self disclosure tab under your license for public knowledge?
Any reply would be appreciated. Thanks!!

luckyme102012,
I was wondering if how this all worked out for you? I am having this same issue right now. I disclose 1 speeding ticked from nearly 8 years ago. I submitted a letter explaining the circumstances but that's it. Should I anticipate getting other information? Did this delay your ATT?

Your personal and otherwise criminal history WILL NOT be posted on BRN website for public view next to your license. They only post charges filed AGAINST your current license.
However, if the ticket was $300 or over, in California, you must report it the the BRN per their instructions. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Thanks guys for your response. I got an infraction for leaving my 4 month old one alone in our car last May 2013 and I got cited. I know it was soooo stupid. I was thinking that its gonna be like 10-15 minutes and the windows were half open and we parked infront of the store. I paid $480 plus the officer reported us to CPS. CPS came to our house and did not find any evidence that we are abusing our son. I hope BRN will not give me a hard time when I apply for NP certification.

I am having the same issue now. Can I ask you what documents you submitted? Just a letter explaining the circumstances?
I heard that we should go to court and get a proof that the ticket got cleared.
Any response will be appreciated.
Thank you
Dear alswjdzla
I submitted a certified copy of the court document to the BRN, letter of explanation about the infraction and the receipt $490. I haven't heard anything from them yet as of this date. To be honest, I was tempted not to declare it because it's not drugs or alcohol and not even work related but I just follow their instructions. Its better that they delay the processing for a few weeks to months rather than not getting it at all if they found out I was hiding something.
