I have seen post on here saying you cannot work weekends while in tpapn.

However in the participant guide it does not say anything about it being a restriction.

I want to work 12 hour day shifts on Saturday and Sunday.

Does anyone one know if it’s possible to work in a nursing home on 2 twelve hour shifts during the week? Will they make an exception in the schedule?

thanks

My job which is weekends and nights was approved. Generally a lot of things are in their general rules that you can't do, but it's on a case-by-case basis when it comes down to it. Nights is supposed to be a no also, but I was approved for weekend overnights.

Have a good attitude with your caseworker, and do well in your outpatient or inpatient program and this will clear the way for you.

Weekends are not restricted in TPAPN, that I know of. I was in it for 3 years and never had a problem. The first 6 months they say no narcs or call, and you can never be a supervisor, but for the most part, nights and weekends are fine.

This is not true for all. Four in my support group were denied both.

Kel65 you have a tpapn support group? I would love to know more. I feel so alone. I got picked for my 2nd test this week. I’ve never ever had 2 in a week and I’ve been on for 2 years so makes me so nervous. You ever have 2 in one week?

There is a group that meets in Dallas every Monday at 7PM. It's been awhile since I've gone, but if are you in the area and interested, I'll reach out to my former Advocate and get more info.
