I am required for tpapn. However I was wondering about having clearance from my mental health doctor and counselor for bipolar. Does anyone know what the requirements for clearance are? I have been in treatment for the past 5 years. Have not been hospitalized in over 5 years with no positive drug test. But I don’t know what exactly they will look for in being cleared. Any information would be great!

Thanks

They may request old psych records, if you have them. They are going to want to know you've been compliant with medication regimes, etc... They won't just take your word for it, you'll need to prove all of this or they may have you do an inpatient evaluation. They are looking for proof or observation that you are stable over a designated period of time.
