Anybody else starting the July 2015 DNP cohort? I would like to get to know future classmates or upper division DNP students @ Touro/Nevada. Thanks vet

Veterosa, what do you think so far? I am considering enrolling for the Fall start and would love some feedback about this program.
A little tough but doable

I would love to hear more about your experience at Touro. I was supposed to start the DNP program in July, but I got nervous and backed out. I regret my decision now. I work 40-50+ hours a week, and I was worried I would not be able to handle it.

RNRy,
It's doable. You're position was immediately filled up by my friend as the last person to enroll. I work the same or more hours when I teach but I was able to move on to DNP 2 with an A. Hope you can join in the November cohort.
Veterosa,
What are the requirements for the practice mentor-do they have to possess a terminal degree...PhD, DNP, EdD?
Freud,
Any of the 3 will do. A DNP would be preferred so he/she can can help guide you on your Capstone project.
VETEROSA,
If I may, I have some questions for you:
How much support are you receiving for your DNP project?
How many hours per week are you devoting to your studies?
How many clinical hours did you receive credit for from your MSN program? How many total credit hours are you required to complete during the DNP program?
Any other details/insight will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
