Hello everyone! I am writing this because I took 265 questions on the NCLEX yesterday (2-2-2015), and I found out that I PASSED! I want to write this because I want people to not freak out and automatically thinking they failed because that is exactly what I did. Towards the last ten questions I honestly kept clicking because I thought that I had already failed and I thought I was going to have a panic attack. So finish strong if you get to 255, don't assume that you failed!
I used lippincots passpoint to study. It was needed for our class. I got to level 8 on all client needs and reached 8's on the topics I wasn't comfortable with. The day before my exam I reached 6,000 questions. Also the practice NCLEX exams I would take 100 questions and the last five exams I reached level 8 on all of them.
The trick that I used to finding out if I passed before 24 hours was that I went onto my state nursing board (Minnesota) and logged in and it said that I passed my exam. I wouldn't recommend the PVT because it didn't work for my friend, and it took her money and she found out that she passed.
So breathe, and be confident even though it feels like the end of the world!

The maximum number of questions anyone can get on NCLEX is 265 for RN and 205 fr PN, and many people pass if they get the maximum number of questions.

On my NCLEX June 5th, 2018, I got up to the 75th question and kept waiting for it to shut off... Then I got up to a hundred and it kept going... Then I got up to a hundred twenty and it kept going by the time it hit 150 I was so low I just knew that I had failed the exam... But it kept going... It did not shut off until it reached question number 265... Then it asked me if I would be willing to do a 30 minute survey on some new questions that they wanted to introduce into future NCLEX exams... I agreed to do it because I thought well... Maybe they're trying to see if I can answer any of these correctly? Or maybe they're trying to see what kind of a person I am even if I failed in my willing to help them perfect the NCLEX exam for future participants? It didn't matter I'd already been there almost 5 hours so I guess what's another 30 minutes? I went ahead and completed it to the best of my ability and it was weird because it was some highlighting and some other things that I never seen before... I left lower than whale crap and just know that I had failed... 48 hours later I logged on to the Pearson VUE website and it showed that I could actually pay for my an official quick results of the exam... My hands Shook and I logged out of the site immediately before checking... Because I knew that I had failed already and I knew emotionally I could not handle seeing the all-caps FAILED YOU BIG DUMMIE!!! Very much to my surprise when logging back on and paying my little measly $8 it showed my unofficial results as PASSED!!!! I was bawling like crazy because I knew that it was a mistake and then I hadn't actually passed... But I kept rubbing my eyes and looking again and the results stay the same: PASSED. WOOOOO HOOOOO!! í ½í¸‚ RN Vandy Cat!!!!! Lol... see? I made it and had to take 265 questions. Hang in there!! Keep the faith! You got this.
