Took the NCLEX-RN today gotta really bad feeling in !

Published

Hey all, been lurking around here for some time. today i took my Nclex-rn for the first time after studying like crazy; Saunders, Kaplan classes, and many others. did well over 3k questions. I walked into Pearson in oakland california feeling great. I walked out feeling devastated. I had about 80-85 questions total. maybe 4-5 SATA questions and about 15 medication questions. The medications that i received for the most part looked like a foreign language. I thought my med knowledge was decent. I had all my ending covered "lol" "pril" "zole" "ine" "zine" etc etc..... ccb bb's ace, etc etc but the drugs they threw at me were crazy.......there were many cases where i would see the question and be relieved because i knew all there was to know about the topic: when i got to the answer choices my answers didnt exist... I am pretty sure i failed miserably but why 80-85 questions? why so many meds and SATA questions? it was like it was trying to take me down...lol........ the drive home was the longest drive i have made in a very long time.......

is it too soon to consider this sign as good news? i took the test today, could it already be listed so fast? dont want to get false hopes.....

finally, has anyone received this message and not passed? i guess that would be the question of all questions...

thanks for the support... i really need it at the moment

i took my nclex last friday and passed. i only had 75 questions and was done in 45 minutes. i agree, i think there is nothing you can do to prepare for the pharm. part of nclex.

the reason you got so many sata and pharm ?'s is because you were missing them. it's an adaptive test. so like, if it gives you a couple of infection control questions, and you get them right, it moves on. however, if you miss them, it keeps giving you more of those kind of questions until it can see if you know the area well enough. i got a lot of pharm questions as well on mine lol.

anyways, from what i hear pvt is 100%. and no, you did not look to early. i looked several hours after my exam and had the pop-up. i was also worried about it being wrong or something, so i paid the $8 for my quickresults and it said pass!!!

so i think you can rest assure! congrats!

thanks moosey, it seems to good to be true.... i read one post that states it does not apply to ca because we dont have a quick results option? but on the other hand i have also seen people post on here that it has worked for them in ca....the one post that made me feel good was the post that stated that a person took the nclex twice, the first time he/she tried the pvt trick and she was able to go thru to the payment option: that person verified that she/he later failed.... the second time she/he took the test, she got the

'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.' message and he/she passed the second time. that person was in ca

only seen one post that says ca is different????

i am very hopeful

Good luck in advance!

I just took my NCLEX-RN, Oct 8, had 75 questions and passed. After the exam was over I felt like I knew 3 or 4 for sure that I got right. You are not alone in how you felt after the test. I got the results on the 9th. I looked on line at the board of nursing website and saw that my license had been activated. Wishing you the best.

i aslo left the exam thinking i was not sure of one answer......... shut off at 83. i passed! pvt really works. CONGRATULATIONS!
