Hi everyone! I graduated from my nursing program on December 19. I did a short review that my program offers this past week, but other than that haven't done a formal review. I am scheduled to sit for my boards on January 15, but after reading a lot of the posts up here I'm questioning if that's too soon. My school has a 97% NCLEX pass rate, and I scored a 97% liklihood of passing NCLEX on the diagnostic test that my class took at the end of the semester. I'm second guessing myself though and would like some advice! Thanks!!

I took my NCLEX something like three weeks after graduation. I passed in 75 questions. Like you, I had a high likelihood of passing based on the exit HESI, so I read through a review book and did a couple practice tests and took it. I figured if I was ready, I was ready and what the heck was the point in studying for months.

The longer you wait, the more you will forget.

It's not too soon. Take it. I just passed with 75 questions after being out of school for almost two months.

I took my NCLEX-PN and NCLEX-RN within 2 weeks of graduating. It wasn't by choice, it was either that soon or months later. I opted for sooner rather than later.
I passed both first shot.

It's too soon if you feel ill-prepared. It's not too soon if you feel ready for it :)
Sounds like you ARE ready for it, so....Good luck!
Thanks everyone! I'm just starting to second-guess myself, but I also feel like I could lose information the longer I wait. I've done a lot of questions and am doing well on them so I hope that's a good indicator. I guess I'll find out Thursday!
