I've been a nurse for 6 years on a telemetry unit. I'm now really considering travel nursing. I'm willing (and eager) to be flexible & take assignments in many parts of the country.
A handful of people have written here that it's not a good time to begin travel nursing with the economy & all. Anyone have similar thoughts? Anyone feel differently about it?
What would you recommend & why?

I would not recommend traveling at this time. You will have fewer available jobs due to the current recession.
Having said that, you will probably have more available than the average person starting at traveling, because of the 6 years of telemetry. Both the specialty and years of experience will stand you in good stead. But you may want to let the economy recover a bit first to get a better selection of offers.
