hey!! i need help with a jobsearch again, and i know the allnurses community is very resourceful, i already have some places down that i'm interested in, i just need some additional resources, so.....
1. does anyone have an info on clinics, hospitals, maybe even a ltc that needs an lpn? per diem-parttime preferably!
2. do i really need letters of recommedation to put with my resume, because i would ask my fellow co-workers for a letter but i think they'd probably figure out that i was looking for another job!
any other info to aid my job search is welcomed. thanks:d

As an LPN, I would check out any local LTC facilities in your area and give them a call. Not all hospitals hire LPNs, so that would require more research. I believe Montefiore and the HHC hospitals do hire LPNs. If your looking for part-time or per diem work, know that they will expect you to have a few years under your belt.
Hospitals might ask you for letters of recommendations, but usually they just call your previous jobs to verify employment (in my experience).
Hope this helps,

I'm not sure what part of Brooklyn you live but Marcus Garvey Nursing Home in Brooklyn on Saint Marks Avenue is hiring.
