Thank you! In the 4 semesters that I have had clinical rotations I have had the most wonderful experiences. I really appreciate your patience in putting up with a whole bunch of students roaming around on your floor. While I will always go out of my way to be helpful to students I have to admit I would hate the intrusion so to be as welcoming and helpful as you have been has really been a bright spot in my nursing school experience. Thank you! Jules

If you haven't sent the floor nurses notes or cards saying essentially the same thing, then do so! Posting here is great but getting it in writing from one of their actual students would be even better.
Already done!

jules, what a wonderful experience for you!
it won't be like that everywhere.
but it sounds like you received a whole lot of support and encouragement.
a win-win situation for all involved.
thank you!!

Ahh, that's nice. I'm an ICU , ER nurse but, it's always good to hear such positive comments. It sound like you must have been a pleasure to work with. It also Sounds like you need to give some credit to yourself.
I wanted to thank all the floor nurses that have helped students over the years. I have been at 6 different facilities for clinical rotations and so far have been treated very nicely.
Thanks Time4meRn, I try hard to be helpful and not too much of a pest. :)

I am grateful for the staff nurses this semester. All of the nurses on my rotations this semester have been absolutely wonderful. Even when one of us does something that would be frustrating to most, the nurses smile and use it as a situation to learn from.
However, every single staff nurse during my 1st semester of nursing school was crude and not helpful. I honestly questioned my motivation for even entering the profession during that clinical rotation. I thought all nurses were going to be that way... but I am glad they are not.
