I received a letter a few days ago from DePaul stating that they (regretfully) could not offer me admission. I called the admissions office to inquire about a waiting list or appeals process. I must say, it was an amazing experience. The woman I spoke with took a good 20 minutes explaining my options and obviously very carefully perused my application in order to answer my questions. She was empathetic and respectful....which made me want to go there even more *sigh.* If this is any indication of the culture and the way students are treated, those of you who are offered positions are very fortunate.
