I took the Teas in December and received an 86%. I decided to see if I can bring up this score by retaking it in January. I need some advice on what else I can do to prepare (i want the 90s). I felt I was very prepared for the first time I took it, but clearly more work needs to be done. Its hard to prepare more for some sections (like Reading or Science). Anyway I was hoping to gather some Teas study advice/what else I should do. I studied with the ATI manual, Princeton/Kaplan Nursing exam (Science section only), small Crash-course Teas book. I also did Kaplan's 5 practice Teas exam prior to the first time taking it. I just don't know what to do to bring up my score.

Try using McGraw-hill teas v nursing book they also have an app for it on the iPhone. I have the app it comes with over 800 questions and I must say it's really good. I'm glad I made that decision bc I remember a lot of the materials I took that were on the teas, are on the app as well. I'm actually considering to buy the book as well just to be more "hands on" with it. Hope this helps! :)

I think an 86% is an awesome score!!! You did well!! I have the ATI study guide and the McGraw Hill practice test book. I'm taking mine at the end of the month. Don't be too hard on yourself. I think that 86% is an excellent score to get accepted into nursing school.

Before you retake the exam, be sure that your school(s) accepts retakes. Some schools will only accept your application if you've taken the TEAS only once.
