timeline from CVS to Visa Screen

Published

Hi:) Can anybody give me any idea how long it takes to finish the whole process from the date I file my CVS application to the point when I actually receive my visa screen certificate supposing I complete all my documents on time and nothing goes wrong in the mail? (i.e. CGFNS and NY BON receives everything and nothing gets lost in the mail). How long does it usually take for CGFNS to process the CVS and how long does it take for NY Board to evaluate my dox? I am trying to get an estimate on when I could receive my ATT. I have sent all my applications first week of September this year. I'd like to get an idea because if it takes so long I'll just work as an RN in the UK meantime. Thank you so much!

You should plan on about 4 months until you receive your ATT from NY. This is without any glitches, but this has nothing to do with the actual processing of your Visa. From when you actually finish and pass the NCLEX exam, you can expect a wait of about 4 months for your Visa Screen certificate. And you must have that in hand when you go for your interview. I would definitely get a job to hold you over, because you are looking at not being in the US until at least next summer at the earliest. I suggest that you look at http://www.visapro.com to get an idea of the actual times involved. Plus these do not take inot account the time that you need to wait for your interview at the US Embassy in your country.
