Hi, I have been a nurse for 7 years, mostly in critical care. I am finsihing my BSN and I will be done in Nov. My plan is to move right in to an MSN program, now that the time has come, I am so confused by the choices.

Yesterday I shadowed a FNP. And now I am even more confused. To be honest (don't throw things at me) it seemed a little boring. I thought I would like primary care, but now I am not sure. I thought Acute was out of the question for me, and now I am reconsidering it....

Any thoughts? Any ICU nurses in a FNP program?

D

Perhaps a clinical nurse specialist track might be a better fit for you. You can be an advance practice nurse in the fast paced setting of an ICU if that is your thing. I am torn myself.
