Things you would love to say to your fellow nursing students!

Published

Along the lines of the first thread, "Things you would love to say to your nursing instructors" I thought this would be a great thread to start. I've since graduated LVN but there was one main thing I wanted to say to some students in my class.

Will you people in the back row please stop talking! I swear that today I can still hear their motormouths running! :chuckle

When I am in the RN bridge I will come back and post some more. I'm sure some of you have something to get off your chest. Come on and unload here! :)

Wow you people sure are ******...Why are you so afride to state your true feelings to your classmates? I'm graduating this May (HESI, is coming!!!) & I enjoyed my class. Sure a few people get on your nerves sometimes but my class generally liked each other.

We ALWAYS helped each other. There were a few really good students who emailed the teacher's powerpoints (with info from the book & lecture added in) to ALL students in the class. REALLY helped me pass Med-Surg.

I'm glad I didn't go to class with any of y'all you all sound like stuck up-know it all *******!!

This is just what your classmates are saying behind your back so they can be nice to you in person ;)

Ok seriously though, it's just venting. I have found some WONDERFUL friends in Nursing School. Friends that will be there beyond nursing school I have no doubt. Their are a small few that annoy the crap out of most of us actually. We do realize though, that it's OUR PROBLEM (well some of the things are rude and disruptive to the other class) but mostly it's personal annoyances, so we come here and vent. It's healthy to get things off your chest rather then let it build inside and risk going off on someone.

As far as your name calling, really, it's second grade, but in light of it I will add;

Don't call me names just because I know it all :p

LOL...maybe they do say it behind my back...but you can't deny the complete nastiness of this entire post. What else can you call it? All the students are in the same position you're in, there really is no need to fight with people. Its the teachers that get on my nerves.

My teachers are great and most all the students are great, you need to understand, this is a vent thread. So yeah it's going to be negative. It's because people are venting. You can't tell me you have NEVER came across someone that irked you, bugged you, annoyed you or what have you and you never vented about it? Seriously? I would be willing to be even a Saint like Sister Mary got annoyed with people sometimes. Sure I read some of these posts and think MY GOSH. But I try to remember the spirit of it. People need to get these things off their chest so they are not blowing up on people.

My class started off with 50 students, their are probably 3 that really annoy me all the time. Some I just need to take in small doses, and most although I am not super close with everyone, we pull for each other and would be their for each other. Then I have my group that I am SUPER close with. Usually it's the SAME people that annoy others to. So it's not just me seeing it. Shoot you could even tell our instructors gets annoyed with the same people.

What else would I call it? A venting post.

Stuck up, know it all *******, huh? That is nice and hypocritical. As everyone else has said, this is a venting thread. My class also generally likes each other. I have made a lot of great friends in nursing school. Out of 145 people, I think 4 of them annoyed me. And having the professional attitude that is so emphasized in nursing school, I chose not to gossip about them to other people in my class. I chose not to roll my eyes at them. I chose not to make snarky remarks and call people names. No, when I want to vent my frustration, I choose to come home and get on allnurses.

Also, notice the mushy "thanks yous" and "I couldn't have done it without yous" in this thread as well.

But you have a right to your opinion of us, just as we have a right to our opinion of our classmates. I just have to say I am glad I wasn't in class with you, too!

Student_Nurse24: I take it you and all of your classmates were perfectly polite, respectful, prepared, knowledgeable, and humble at all times? No? Then quit calling perfect strangers on a board that you don't HAVE to read ******* just because you don't like their tone. It's not fair and makes you seem just as unpleasant as what you are calling them.

Oh please people. Get over it! It was sort of a joke post...if you cannot see the humor or sarcasm in the post then whatever. But calm down people, its really not that big a deal.

How exactly would you have expected one to interpret that, considering in more than one post you were trying to call people a profane word.

Dinner with you guys was great tonight! I really enjoyed getting to bond with y'all before the start of our next rotation.

...plus you started *a separate thread* to talk about how this thread is so nasty and [insert your profanity of choice] and how we're all a bunch of "stuck up, know it all students" and that you find it scary to think that some of us are going to be nurses.

If no one else got your "joke" the problem might not be everyone else. If people are offended, well, duh, you've been pretty offensive and I think you know it.

You're more than welcome not to participate in this thread if you're not in to venting. You've barely been a member two days, but I can assure you that this site has a lot to offer. You might want to review the TOS on profanity, fyi.

LOL is that why you made a whole other thread to complain to everyone about it?

Thank you for believing I could pass this class when I lost faith in myself. You were my cheerleaders and were almost as anxious as I was to see if I passed. I truly would have hated to retake the class and lose you all!!!
