Things you would love to say to your fellow nursing students!

Published

Along the lines of the first thread, "Things you would love to say to your nursing instructors" I thought this would be a great thread to start. I've since graduated LVN but there was one main thing I wanted to say to some students in my class.

Will you people in the back row please stop talking! I swear that today I can still hear their motormouths running! :chuckle

When I am in the RN bridge I will come back and post some more. I'm sure some of you have something to get off your chest. Come on and unload here! :)

hahaha! you guys are hilarious! & i also feel the same way about the people who constantly talk in the back row, when i'm in the front and STILL can't hear the professor!! also, those who complain about getting a 93.9 on a test, and claimed to have barely gotten an A (93 is an A!) when others wish they could get at least a B!

Remind me what hospital you'll be working at

All you do is brag about how you went to a private school, and therefore that makes you the smartest here

No one cares, and guess what ? My grades are better than yours.

ALSO...

Its not a good idea to come to school telling everyone about your mental issues and what drugs you did on the weekend.

To my fabulous classmate... thank you for the inspirational e-mails you've sent out to everyone. You have no idea how much they helped me last week.

Don't roll your eyes when I ask questions. It's nice to know someone gets it, but some of don't and need help.

To my classmates:

1) I am sorry that you flunked out of the program after all of your hard work, but you are ridiculously incompetent and have no critical thinking skills. It is probably for the best.

2) If the teacher has spent 30 minutes trying to answer your question, and you are the only one who still doesn't get it please schedule some office hours or something. We need to get through the rest of the material.

3) Please don't hate me because I always finish the tests first and have a 4.0. I read really quickly and have a very good memory. These are natural gifts that I am grateful for, but I really respect the hard work you are putting in. I would be happy to help you if you would stop writing me off as that girl that "doesn't get how hard it is."

4) Also, stop saying I am "so lucky" to be done with our huge paper/project. It is not luck, it is organization and not procrastinating.

To the lovely girls I am tutoring this semester:

1) If you still can't figure out what hepatic means without thinking about it all of the time, maybe you need to study your medical terminology a little more.

2) Yes, in nursing school all of the questions are about applying knowledge clinically. So is the NCLEX. So is NURSING. If you have a problem with the fact that these questions do not involve verbatim memorization, you should probably pick another career.

3) No, nursing school does not get easier. But you will get more used to it and able to do what is necessary.

4) There are not enough hours in the day to read 5 chapters in depth for each of your 3 classes, make note cards, study and all of the normal life things. You need to learn to skim, find the essential information and filter out all of the filler.

5) I promise that you will someday be able to integrate all of this information. I know it seems impossible now, but you will!

To all my dear nursing school friends:

1) Thank you for the coffee/lunch/drink dates. It feels so good to let it all out and get some much needed socializing in.

2) Thank you for your support when I was pregnant. Knowing that you did not think I was incapable due to the pregnancy meant the world. Also, the baby gifts were so kind!

3) We are almost there! We can do it!

4) Thanks for laughing at all of my nerdy jokes at clinicals.

5) I am honored to be in this profession with you ladies and gentlemen.

I don't start nursing school until August, but here's one from my A&P II class. Put the stupid little "netbook" away, stop surfing facebook, etc (in the front row!), and pay attention to the instructor. Very annoying.

"You are NOT overqualified to show empathy for the patient! Now get in there and wipe his butt!"

Get your crap together. We are almost done and you act like a first semester student most of the time. In fact, how did you get this far?

Wow you people sure are ******...Why are you so afride to state your true feelings to your classmates? I'm graduating this May (HESI, is coming!!!) & I enjoyed my class. Sure a few people get on your nerves sometimes but my class generally liked each other.

We ALWAYS helped each other. There were a few really good students who emailed the teacher's powerpoints (with info from the book & lecture added in) to ALL students in the class. REALLY helped me pass Med-Surg.

I'm glad I didn't go to class with any of y'all you all sound like stuck up-know it all *******!!
