Hi all - please be kind im new!!
I am in the middle of doing my dissertation on 'do nurses deliever effective care in palliative care wards/areas' I have up to now been using a self made theorectical framework, however this will obviously be no good for a formal dissertation, so i would be VERY VERY VERY greatful if somebody could give me an idea of where i might find a theorectical framework suitable for my piece of work. PLEASE HELP
Thanks

Here's a link the a bunch of nursing theories...Hopefully one of these can be used for your disseration. http://nursing.clayton.edu/eichelberger/nursing.htm
Remember that peer reviewed journals are also helpful in finding frameworks. Use CINAHL or PubMED

What frameworks do most of the researchers in your specialty use?
Are there tools, flowsheets, assessments, etc. that are commonly used in your specialty that are based on a good model?
It's often best for a student's work to build upon the work of other, more experienced researchers. Identifying the frameworks used by others helps make your work "fit in well" with the existing literature.
What frameworks does a thorough review of the literature in your field reveal?
Are you conducting this research in specific institution? What frameworks are used in that environment?
What are the particular frameworks that are the favorites of your school's faculty? It's usually best to choose a framework they know and support.
What frameworks were emphasized in your coursework during your program?
All of the "places" above are good ways to start identifying a framework that would well for a student project.
