I confess to back pedaling into Trump territory when I wanted to leave discussions about him in the garbage can. My thread on the read-only break room site has 9,600 replies so I thought I'd bring up a new one.
He's not going away.
Haberman's book is out based on interviews. I won't read it, but the excerpts are interesting. Especially what he says about McConnell, a description that's against the Terms of Service here, but I actually don't disagree with. LOL
Quote“At one point, Trump made a candid admission that was as jarring as it was ultimately unsurprising. ‘The question I get asked more than any other question: “If you had it to do again, would you have done it?”’Trump said of running for president. ‘The answer is, yeah, I think so. Because here’s the way I look at it. I have so many rich friends and nobody knows who they are.’ … Reflecting on the meaning of having been president of the United States, his first impulse was not to mention public service, or what he felt he’d accomplished, only that it appeared to be a vehicle for fame, and that many experiences were only worth having if someone else envied them.”

Read the Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo decision. Specifically look at the actual holding of that decision. Between that and some other recent decisions, whatever agenda P2025 has is going to be mostly a pipe dream.
However much the Heritage Foundation likes the decision, it will also dislike the decision... ironically for the same reason.

We should all dislike that opinion.

Something hit his R side ear area, saw blood--heard about 13 shots on replay of his Butler PA rally. Secret service swarmed him, took down to ground then hustled off stage. While he was helped up, Trump raised fist in air. Not good that it happened in my state, far western PA near Ohio border. Area treated as crime scene now....UGH!.

Not good that it happened at all. It's never good to make a pathological liar and conman appear sympathetic and violence is not an answer, it's a substitute for reason.
I'm reminded every day what a violent nation we live in.
Trump appears to be very lucky and lucky to have the protection of the Secret Service. I hope he makes a full recovery.
The shot of him holding his fist up covered with blood is stunning.
His daughter says "Thank you for your love and prayers for my father and for the other victims of today's senseless violence in Butler, Pennsylvania. I am grateful to the Secret Service and all the other law enforcement officers for their quick and decisive actions today. I continue to pray for our country. "
Trump Jr. said something to affect his father will continue to save America and take whatever the radical left throws at him.
Washington responds as expected.
Soon there will be publicity given to people glad that he got shot and sorry he didn't die.
