I'm buying a new laptop/tablet this weekend for college (tax free weekend!) I'm siding on the New Microsoft Surface Pro because everyone loves it and I even see Surface Pros on Grey's Anatomy like c'mon. But I also like the new IPad Pro it almost seem similar to the new surface but the IPad Pro is way cheaper (also I have an IPhone 7) than the Surface Pro. If I do buy the surface pro the only one I can afford is the intel core m3? I love annotating, highlighting, taking notes online, always type essays online, etc. I want something extremely useful for college and in the future when I work as a nurse.

I've been debating this too. With iPad, you run the risk of needing to run java and not being able too. With the surface pro, the battery is apparently an issue.

Uuuugh! I can't decide. I don't think the m3 will be bad for school btw!

The IPad you can get a keyboard and pen for same as the surface!

Do you know anyone who is already in the program you could ask? Or an instructor?

Since they are pricey and I wasn't sure about the IPad for college requirements. I bought the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series 2-in-1 laptop with windows active ink pen (Bamboo pen) and I'm so happy with it. EXACTLY like the Surface. I got it for $529 because of student discount and dell sale going on that day. It was amazing for the price and have pretty much all the requirements for college and nursing. Here's the link if you're interested, https://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell-inspiron-2-in-1-15-6-touch-screen-laptop-intel-core-i5-8gb-memory-256gb-solid-state-drive-gray/5606500.p?skuId=5606500 doesn't make any noise. The only con is it's pretty heavy almost 5 pounds for a laptop.

I have an iPad Pro. Our books were provided in digital form through bookshelf so my iPad Pro is very useful. I use goodnotes and bookshelf altogether and I have the freedom of writing and highliting my book without wasting too much paper.
