Hello there, fellow RNs! Have you ever applied for a staff nurse position this year at The Medical City? How was your application, pre-employment, training, and hiring experience? Share us your thoughts!
Was the process of your application in Cardinal Santos that long like in TMC? I am actually a fresh grad and passer so. I'm still searching for hospitals to apply for.
nope. it was fast. like, this day, i passed my requirements, the guy in the nursing department interviewed me (not so formal, then i guess that was the initial interview), next day i was scheduled for exam, then he will email you immediately the results and he scheduled me after 3 days for final interview. then, before you even get home, there will be an email indicating that you passed'failed the interview, then he will give you the training dates, the dues, etc.. :)
You're welcome Dhes. Good luck to you as well. Maybe they will contact you next week. Anyway, have you applied in other hospitals?
I did not apply to any other hospitals except for TMC haha! I actually have other plans just in case I will not get in. I just finished volunteering in a gov't hospital. I want to be positive on this one or else time to switch to plan B.

Thank you fissure! Are they accepting fresh grad and passers without experience? I am thinking of having my IVT training there and maybe I'll try to apply.

yes, of course. btw, make sure you have IVT license,BLS and ACLS because its a requirement. but for me, i dint have acls. but its fine
@fissure, is it really a requirement to have an IVT and BLS before you can have your training there? is it not included in their training program (NTAP) ??
Yes, (i think) because it was listed on the LIST of requirements and you have to complete it before you pass your application. "post graduate course in nursing training".

Thanks searchingnurse! I think you took it ahead of me as I just received the confirmation that I passed nursing exam last Aug 15. Good luck to those who will take the psych exam this Saturday.
