2014 - The Medical City

Published

Hello there, fellow RNs! Have you ever applied for a staff nurse position this year at The Medical City? How was your application, pre-employment, training, and hiring experience? Share us your thoughts!

its ok, dhes, just try and try..ive been unemployed for 7 mos and applied to various hospitals and failed many times, I also got depressed...and now, i just received a text from my dream hospital that i passed and will start the training. :) stay POSITIVE. :)
Congrats to you fissure! Whew, in my case, my dream hosp is TMC. In 2012 I took & passed nsg and psych exam but during initial interview they found out that my sister is also working there that time so my application was put on-hold until it expired. So i applied again last year even if I'm currently employed in a company but I received no text after the psych exam. And then last june i tried again and then after 2 wks i was invited for nsg exam. I just finished my contract this july and did not renew, I really hope this is my time. But I started to think if they might still consider me, I've been applying for 3x already. I really want to work there. Haayss.. So hard. I need to prepare myself. :(

wow, you are really persistent... :) you can try other JCI accredited hosp though, if you really like big hospitals. but if you are not flexible with the distance of transportation, then you'll have a problem.

I also submitted resume at mmc when I logged at tmc last june. But no text from mmc. I have no problems in terms of transportation. I also want to work at slmc but I just think their 10k training fee is too much. I'm not from a wealthy family, I wish I am. Hayss..yes jci accredited hosp.are my target. Its really beneficial to work there especially if I'm planning to work abroad someday. But if I don't pass then I should try applying to other tertiary hosp even if not jcia. I'm still praying though. :(

yip, ditto...i was frustrated with SLMC (with the backer system), and got no text from MMC.

try other tertiary hospitals while waiting.. like MaDocs, training fee is 6k, UST 5k, Metropolitan in tondo (no training fee).

Yes I've also heard about Metropolitan before, my father was also confined there and I like how employees did their job. It's a good hospital. Anyway, thanks a lot! I'll consider those that you said. :D

good luck!!1

Wow I missed a lot of things here! Thank you fissure for the kind words:up: and pls04 just have faith but I guess looking for other hospitals might also help :) Btw, I texted HR just now and they said they are not texting the passers yet, I'm just not really sure why. I've been calling and texting them many times (good thing they are responding), I even went there last time haha. I don't wanna be persistent anymore as they might get irritated already! I'm just gonna wait or check this forum just incase someone from you will be lucky. Thank you!

Hi dhes, thanks. I will also try to submit resume to other hospitals next week. :D but still hoping we could receive text from tmc within this week.

its better if you apply in every hospital that you know so that you'll have many fall backs. but sometimes, in the end, when two opportunities collide, you will have a hard time choosing, :D

I texted HR then they ask for my name. Then after that no text from them. So most likely I didn't pass? I just have to accept that it's not meant for me. :( Life goes on, I'll just try other hospitals.

Hi, do you have any idea how long is the training period of TMC?

Hi novelle3819,

I think its 1 and a half month. Did you already had your initial interview? :)
