omigosh, i applied there last december too and am still waiting for their call. my friend took the test in 2006 and she passed it. he said its mostly medical surgical questions, quite book based, so i suggest to just review your udan textbook if you have one. hope they call us soon!

I passed the requirements needed for employment at Medical City last September. They sent me a text message last December and scheduled me for the initial exam. However, the exam schedule coincided with the date of my IVT training so, as much as I wanted to, I couldn't write it. I asked to be re-scheduled but Medical City won't respond... I had to submit my documents again in order to be re-accommodated. Back to zero. Up to now I'm still waiting for their reply.
My friend passed the initial exam, though (she's currently scheduled for training on April... Note: we applied September 2007). Out of 300, around 80 people (or so) passed. The passing rate is too high. You have to get around 80% of the raw score to pass. :icon_roll

when i took the exam, i was so surprised about the contents.. yeah, you'd expect the hardest med-surg questions you can think of, computations also, and to top it off, you have an identification-type of test!!! eeep. i'm just glad i passed. but sadly i didn't pursue my career there 'coz i got married. maybe this year i'll try to apply again.

hi guys.. :) this is my first time to write a post here in allnurses but i have been reading a lot of your posts for the past year.
i'm currently working in medical city as a staff nurse in an ancillary department. i started last october 1. i was hired as casual employee, meaning my contract is only until the last day if february '09 and i don't have the benefits the regular employees have.
i just want to share the story of how i was accepted in medical city..
i took the entrance exam last sept 22 (monday), together with two of my friends. we were about 30+ who took the exam. the pre-employment exam was composed of different sets of questions (multiple chioce, matching type, computation, identification and an exam for legibility of handwriting).
a day after the exam i recieved a text message from the hr telling me that i am scheduled for another exam on the 24th at 8 in the morning and that i should be in a business attire and bring the requirements with me. it turned out that i was the only one who got the text and my other friends did not recieve the the message from the hr. so i came back there, and i was surprised because only 6 of us who were called back.. we took several sets of exams (personality, psychological and iq exams). we fininshed all of the exams by noon and we were asked to stay for an initial exam after lunch...
the 6 of us were interviewed one by one by an hr employee. i was called first. she asked me basic interview questions like, tell me about yourself, tell me something about your family etc. and then she told me that the only vacant position thay have is in an ancillary dept. and then she asked me if i'm willing to work there and if it's okay with me if i'll only be earning the minimium wage. the interview lasted for i guess 10 mins.. after the interview she asked me to go back to the room where i was stayin and to wait for the final interview! i was soo surprised because things are happening sooo fast!! i didn't expect that i will be interviewed that day...
from 6, only 4 of us were asked to stay for the final interview.. which was held late that afternoon. the hr employee directed us in the area (where only one of us will be given a chance to work!) and she told us that the supervisor will be the one to interview us. again, i was interviewed first.. she first asked me to tell something about myself and asked me my expectations with the department... and then she explained stuff about the area what i should be expecting with the kind of work i will be having there (if i'll be lucky to be accepted.. lol). and then she started asking technical and situational questions. all in all i guess she asked me about 5-8 situational questions. the interview was sooo long it lasted for 30 minutes!
after the rest of us were interviewed.. we were asked to go back to the hr office. when we went back, the hr employee who interview us told us that, although only one among us will be chosen, the other 3 will be prioritized for next vacant position (if there's any). and then.. she called my name and told me that i was the one who qualified for the position!
and then she told me to come back the next morning because i will already be reporting in the area for my 3-day-no-pay training (from sept 25-27) ... i was told that if i will be able to complete all the requirements including a medical exam i will be starting on the first of october..
i officially started last oct 2 (since oct 1 was declared holiday).. i signed a five-month contract and the hr employee exlained to me that i have to complete a series of seminars and training to be able to qualify for a regular position after my contract....
right now... i'm so happy with my work and i'm really learning a lot. my supervisor and co-workers are all very ince.. including the doctors and rad techs i'm working with... :redbeathe:heartbeat
