The lived experience of military nurses in conflict zones

Published

Dear Military Nurses,

I am a British anthropology student currently in the dissertation phase. My father is a serving Nursing Officer with the British forces and after reading his diary about service at Camp Bastion, Afghanistan I felt that I needed to know more.

There is very little published work exploring the 'lived experience of military nurses serving in conflict zones' and this is now the focus of my dissertation. I hope to gain an insight into the issues faced by military nurses who put themselves in harm's way to serve their country.

Can you help?

Would you be prepared to share your experiences of Operational deployment to a conflict zone? I am looking for diaries, journals or simply your recollections and reflections that would help inform this piece of work.

Many thanks for your consideration.

Smile I would be more than happy to help you.

I was at Camp Bastion this last deployment and I was also at Kandahar Air Field as well (OEF).

Cheers!
