The HRSA nursing scholarship is available now. I just submitted my application although I'm probably a long shot.
If you're interested in pursuing a career in healthcare, you may be eligible for a scholarship through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The HRSA Scholarship Program is designed to support students in various healthcare disciplines who are committed to serving underserved communities and helping to address the shortage of healthcare professionals in those areas.
HRSA offer scholarships to help pay for health professions' education.
All Scholarship awardees will provide a one-year service commitment for each year of scholarship support received.
The application cycle typically opens in late Winter or early Spring and closes in late Spring or early Summer, so be sure to check the website regularly for updates.
To be eligible for the HRSA Scholarship, you must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited program that leads to a degree in one of the following disciplines:
You must also be a U.S. citizen, a national, or permanent resident.
Have no federal judgment liens and service commitment.
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for scholarship through the HRSA's online application system.
If you have any questions about the program or the application process, the HRSA offers resources and support to help guide you through the process. Don't miss out on the opportunity to receive financial assistance while pursuing your dream of a career in healthcare and serving those in need.

Oh gosh. They just say whatever comes to mind it seems like!
I totally agree. We are all trying to better our lives by getting an education and they shouldn't penalize us for that. I use to work at a call center and my boss use to tell me to not stay on the phone longer then 5 to 7 minutes. So bascially I think they are just trying to get us off the phone.
This is why I just don't call. I really feel bad for the people at the call center, they can only tell us what they've been told themselves. And about the credit checks, can they honestly expect that everyone with an EFC of zero has spotless credit? I know I don't, my husband has been out of work for the last 18 months, and was let go from his job four weeks after my daughter was born. The recession has not been kind to us.
Well here's to hoping that we all get a scholarship, and if not here's to hoping our backup plans all come to fruition. :)
im tired of waiting, but from past years i see that they are never ready by july 1st. i dont know what to do. is there a way to check your status online? i checked and seen that all online info was completed and the i dont need to submit anymore supplemental information. i guess i just need to wait it out.
ugh...
Yeah it stinks. I need to know whether or not to apply for my schools scholarship....i find it really stupid that it maybe after school starts before you hear anything. That is just crazy!!! Hopefully we will hear something in the next few days.
I would still apply for every other scholarship that you can! I got a huge scholarship on top of the HRSA and was able to pocket it all. Also, even if you get another scholarship that pays for some of your tuition, you can still collect the remaining tuition, stipend, other fees and ORC payment from HRSA. So really, please don't wait for word from HRSA to determine if you should apply for other scholarships!

Really! I thought they would just pay for whatever tuition is left after other scholarships have been paid. I didn't think you would get a refund check. It would be great though if thats how it works!!
