I just wanted to share an article that I posted here.
It's a story of a patient we had on our unit recently, and an example of how almost all PICU nurses feel when it's time for our patients to pass away.

Ashley, that was amazing. I myself am a newer PICU nurse. In my adult career, I had my fair share of patient deaths. Just last month I lost my first kiddo. I completely agree and understand everything you posted. While it's sad, its also such an awesome thing we get to do when we do nothing, isn't it??
