It is great to know that I'm NOT alone and that other people have experienced people discouraging them from Nursing school. Your stories and experiences have been wonderful to read and really incouraging!

Just to let everyone now..I was not complaining about people saying nursing school was hard on this board..Obviously, this is a support group and I'm sure I'll be compalining in a couple of months on here as well. Just wanted to clarify in case I offended anyone. So vent away!

And it's not so much people telling me nursing school is hard. I'll tell ya..my nurse friends they say, nursing school is hard but you'll do it. That I think is realistic but incouraging. I don't mind that at all;) It's the people who say..nursing school is hard.. you'll never make it....those are the comments that I loath! My own Aunt..who is a Nurse manager, when my grandmother told her I wanted to be a nurse..she said.."oh, she'll never get passed Anatomy and Physiology" Keep in mind that my Aunt hardly knows me. Plus, my grandmother thinks she is a god because she is a RN..so she doesn't like that someone else in the family can actually do it too.

But you know what..I'd like that thank those people that think I can't do it..because you really put the hop in my step and make me every MORE determined to finish. Becasue I WILL become an RN..and a damn good one too!

And to my Aunt....I just received my Anatomy and Physiology grade and I got an A! Shows how much she knows about me!:lol2:
