Texas Women University FALL 2016

Published

Anyone applying to Texas Women University? I recently attended an information session and spoke to Ms.Victoria the nursing coordinator for TWU. What are your stats? What advice to you give when studying for the TEAS? I know you have to apply for TWU first then get accepted. Then you apply to TWU NURSING. But I am somewhat confused on that process. I went to the apply portal and it does not give me the option to apply for FAll of 2016. I may have to wait. Any current TWU students that can give me any advice on the application process. It will be of great help. Thank you!

I'm not liking my odds, ladies. Spoke to my advisor and he said although my grades and scores are good, not having the TWU bump is going to be what hurts me, which feels unfair to me. He said he can't tell me for sure though, obviously. But if I do get in, it'll be by the skin of my teeth is what it's sounding like. I have a prerequisite GPA of 3.68, TEAS of 85.3, and applied for Dallas regular schedule program. He said he's hoping they'll be done later this week, but could be 2 weeks before they're done.

Does anyone's status say Complete on it? And if so, where would that show up? I'm considering calling to see what's going on. So nervous!

Mine never said complete. It only showed the transcripts were verified. I emailed nursingcas support and they just said "your application is available for viewing." I ended up emailing one of the advisors to make sure and she told me everything was OK. I recommend you to do that.

Do you have a previous bachelor? I've heard that helps a lot too

I do not have a previous bachelors. To be honest though, my advisor just told me the previous bachelors really does not matter. It's the TWU preference that really matters.

How curious. I talked with another advisor and she told me the bachelor definitely helped :)

I agree, they do say conflicting things. But my advisor has been doing this for 11 years and he's one of the ones selecting applicants. I trust him over others 😉

Well, whatever it is, good luck :) (ohhh the wait!! LOL)

Wish we'd find out the end of this week :arghh:

If they do finish by the end of the week, I wonder if they would let us know then or if they would wait. Does anyone know if they will be working over spring break?

Good point, it probably takes time to create the acceptances and whatnot. I think they do work over spring break
