Texas Tech web-based Accel BSN

Published

Anyone doing this program? How is it working for you? I would love to apply, but they don't yet have any Dallas-area hospital partnership agreements in place for the clinicals. I'm praying that they will by the time I get done with my prereqs. I'm a little unsure of the whole web-based idea, so I wondered how the classes were going, about how much time every day you spend on your coursework, how the clinicals are going, etc. Any information would be helpful!:uhoh3:

Looks like a GREAT program - I know they have adjunct faculty in the DFW area - our graduate level pharm profs at TWU are TT professors. (Excellent class btw)

I would bet Tech can help you get things worked out to make this happen!

hi but would the online course be recongnised?

If the program is accredited by the Texas state BNE, which it pretty much ahs to be to operate in Texas, then I woudnt see why not. They recognize other online programs around the state, Tech has an excellent reputation.

As I said in the other thread - the RN to BSN programs are for people who are already RN's, but want to earn a Bachelors degree - so online is very aacceptable.

thanks as I have no science background i have to do lots of pre-req im going to consider both on and off line courses

thanks for showing me the option.

My degree is in Finance, so I have to do a few prereqs myself! That's okay, though. I am enjoying it so far anyway. I'm doing the prereqs at a local community college, and then I'm trying to bust my way into an accelerated program when I get done with that.

I was just looking over the stuff for the accelerated program.

I doubt they would have trouble getting things set up soon in DFW - they already have connections with TWU in several ways.

Im thinking TWU needs to adopt this program as a JOINT program between the two schools, just like TTech has adopted TWU's doctoral program in Denton. No wheel reinvinting, and TTech has strong IT infrastructure and support.

I'm going to send the Tech info to one of my professors here.....

I know Im looking forward to it its going to be mad .. how many pre-req are u doing at ttu?

what does this requirement mean "Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant prior to admission" if this course is for non nursing (any1 can do it) then...

I would be forever in your debt if you would do that for me! Tech tells me that the faculty has been pushing for it (Dallas preceptors), so I really hope that it's not too much longer before they have something set up. I'll be done with my prereqs and ready to go in about a year.

I'm only doing the pathphys class at TTU. The rest are being done at CC.

I've been trying to get the information on CNA certification in my area. Still researching it...

If I was working I'd take ya - but I'm in graduate school!
