Texas Tech Traditional BSN Abilene Campus Fall 2014.

Published

HI everyone, my name is Lauren and I'm applying for the Fall 2014 Traditional BSN program in Abilene. I'm looking for any advice from past, current or future students. I also have a few questions about the program since i will be applying this December.

First do you know if the program has set hours Ex. mon-fri 8-5 or can you pick your classes and hours?

What do you wish you knew when applying?

Any other help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey I also wanted to try and apply to the school in Abilene, but I haven't started yet. It's due in February right? I'm trying to find out more information too. We have to do a video essay I believe. Have you heard if it is a competitive program to get accepted? I could use some advice too.

Hey guys, I'm looking into Texas Tech also but am not applying yet. I was just wondering, since I am from California so I don't know too much about this school - how competitive is it?

Fall 2014 Deadline was Feb. 1st and they only admit during the fall so if you didn't get it done you'll have to wait for Fall 2015 app to open which will be this Dec 2014. I have applied for Fall 2014 with Abilene as my #2 choice and Lubbock as my Primary location. We did have to submit a video interview but they are also starting face to face interviews for Fall 2014 applicants (just found this out via pre-nursing advisor at Tech).

As far as how many apply and how many get accepted I know for the Lubbock campus at TTUHSC it's normally about 1/2 that get in who apply. I think Abilene takes like 60 for their location, Lubbock is around 120 I believe. I could be wrong but I think this is what I remember.

I think all BSN programs in Texas are very hard to get into and take exceptional grades, ect. because so many people are trying to get in!! Do your best on pre-reqs..like all A's and get some volunteer/job shadow experience and really know why you want to be a nurse..what led you to this profession..they will want to know.
