UTHSC-Houston Spring 2013

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hi,

I am new to allnurses.com and I wanted to start a topic for the Spring 2013 applicants at UTHSC Houston. Where we can keep each other posted on the process as it nears. I have yet to take the HESI but i wonder if anyone else has taken it and what their score was. I will compile my GPA's later and post them on here.

Thanks for your comments

For those that are wait listed I would reccommend printing out the paper work from the website and getting your things together. Such as immunizations, cpr certification, physical, and drug-background check. Also go on and add UTHSC to your FASFA application so you can just turn everything in.This way you won't be scrambling at the last minute.

Good thinking. Is anyone else that got waitlisted going to get everything together just in case? I know it seems like a long shot but I still want to be prepared.

I already started. I think it's a good idea. I don't think it's a long shot for us either. We just need to stay positive. You don't want to get accepted and not be able to attend because you don't have all the little things done!! Stay positive people from what ive seen and heard waitlisted is not a bad thing!

Jul 25 by nici0513 I received a rejection letter. The nursing admissions office called me several times just about 2 weeks ago. I was curious to what they wanted so I called them back and she asked me if I was still interested because they were starting a new waiting list for Fall and I would be at the top of the list. I was thinking they must have already went through the wait list and started calling people who got rejected. I was shocked and didn't expect that at all but my family has relocated now, so the news was a little too late. Hope I get into TWU now!

This fall 2012 some people who were denied got a call back, so that means they went over all their waitlisted people first. Lets not get discouraged at all, have faith and you will not be disappointed! I definetly believe that things happen for a reason and if i don't get accepted then that means i was meant to attend HBU.

Okay, I'm not sure if I'm the only one going through with this and it's frustrating me...

I've applied and completed my application. We're supposed to be getting acceptance/rejected letters by now right? I haven't gotten any notification whatsoever and when I check the "Admissions Status" page, it won't load. The last time I checked and it loaded, all I saw was the green circle signifying that my application is complete. They've already sent ALL the acceptance letters (right, I'm not sure...), so is everyone who hasn't received a response yet rejected? I'm panicking, because I've got good stats (I know that's not the only thing they look at.)

Is anyone else having a problem logging into my.uth.tmc.edu?

UPDATE: take that back... still have that ambiguous green circle staring at me...

I am definitely getting ready just in case. How would we go about getting drug/background check done? I still need to do that! Thanks for the advice!!

Go to the main page for UT Houston and go to current students. Look on the right and you will see the link.

Did anyones status change to yellow triangle?

Did anyones status change to yellow triangle?

No changes yet, still a green circle.

Mine has been yellow since shortly after I applied...I'm taking Micro and Chem this semester so it has stayed in yellow triangle status.

Is there a preferred website to go to in order to register for the hesi exam
