U.S.A. Texas

Hello Nursing hopefules!

I will be applying for the El Centro Nursing Progam for spring 2018. I wanted to know if anyone else is working on their applications and how far along. Here to provide and receive support and help. I currently have 26 points without the HESI. I was only missing 3 points from the RN-BSN courses. I have taken the HESI 2 times before and there would always be one subject (grammar) that held me back from submitting my application. I did not take the HESI seriously and never studied for the test. This time is different. I have been studying my head off for 2 weeks now. Taking the HESI for the third and final time Feb 11. Hopefully I get to meet some future el Centro students here and start our journey together!

Couldn't us all use more money??!

Does anyone know when is the earliest time you can turn n your shot records to Sentry?

Hello!

I'm applying for Spring 2018! Does anyone know what the range for points were for acceptance? I'm thinking i should be at 40 points. I was hoping to apply for this fall but the hep a shot prevented me from being able too. I applied for Grayson, so if I don't get in there, I'll be applying next Spring!

I'm applying to Grayson also.

hi, there is no such a thing as range for points. If they need 60 students, they just take 60 from the top of the list.

P.S. We did not recieve letters yet

Letters?? Do you know how many they usually accept? I know for Grayson you need a certain amount of points to be competitive and then they go from there for the amount of students they accept.

Hi everyone! I'm applying for the spring 2018 class as well. I dropped off my petition/waiver for sciences over 5 years old and my education plan yesterday. Still need to schedule my Hesi test (took it like 9 years ago, don't remember my scores but it wasn't bad.) Need to set up Sentry MD, and thinking about taking those HPRS clases for extra points. I currently work as an ultrasound tech so I really hope they approve my anatomy classes since I use them like everyday lol! Anyone know if the hesi test is different at Mountain View? I heard the time limit is different. El centro will take hesi scores from anywhere but mountain view only takes scores from tests taken at mountain view - odd?

Hello everyone! I am planning on applying for Spring 2018! So nervous!! I was in the program in 2014, but had to quit after the 1st semester. (Hardest decision I ever made, but it was right for my family at the time) Anyway, I got my first dose of the Hep A shot back in 2014 but never went back for my second. Would it be accepted if I went back and got it now? Or do I have to start all over? (That would set me back a semester)

I took the test 3 times at different locations and all were the same for me

Try to search your child shot records from your home state immunization department. If u went to school in America you should have all of those doses on file somewhere

So, for the hesi, would y'all consider the prep class that is offered through continuing education? Or would it be a waist of time/money. I wil also be applying for spring 18. I am so nervous 😩 to take the hesi

I've heard from a few people that the class is a waste of time. Just search the allnurses website for tips on people that have taken it. That helped me alot.
