Thanks! Still no letter today, I've noticed it usually takes two days for my mail to get forwarded to me, so hopefully tomorrow :)

I'm in too! Does anyone know details about how many days a week and what times we will be in school? I need to start thinking about child care.

Hello! I've kind of been lurking around this thread for a couple months now... Figured it's about time I post something. So I got accepted into the Fall 2013 semester! I have a few questions about it though. Does anyone know or have a general idea of how the classes are going to be structured? Like days and times... clinical rotations, etc.

Also, I don't have any health insurance and I actually am quite clueless about it. I'm 20 years old, no kids, living with my parents as of right now. I do have a job currently. Any suggestions on affordable, college kid budget insurance? Thanks in advance!

Congrats to everyone who got in!! I'll be seeing you all at orientation! I'm so excited!! :D

Congrats! I'm not 100% positive on this, but I believe the classes are in the mornings, I'm not sure if its Mon-Fri though. As for clinicals, I really don't know. It seems like I read somewhere that it's a couple days a week.

I'm in the same boat as you, when it comes to insurance. I've been getting quotes online, the cheapest I found for me was around $98 a month, but it was the crappiest insurance I've ever seen. The cheapest I found that had fairly good benefits was around $140 a month. A friend was telling me that you can get insurance for $50 a month through the school, but I haven't verified this yet. I'm hoping the school offers advice at orientation.

I can't wait until May 1st. I have so many questions. Like are we supposed to be CPR certified BEFORE May 1st? What hours are the clinicals as I have kiddos that I need to find child care for?

Hey guys! I'm new to this forum, but I got accepted too!!! See you guys at orientation :woot:!!!!

I think you do need to be CPR certified before may 1st, but I would double check with the nursing department. we will find out about clinicals may 1st.

I am currently in the program in 2nd semester. You don't need to have your CPR done by May 1st. You will get a lot of information at the orientation including some contacts to get this done. As far as the schedule goes, you will be in lecture all day Monday until 2:30 or so. Tuesday or Wednesday will be your clinical day which is also all day. Thursday is your skills lab until 1p. Friday is open lab so that you can practice your skills before checkoffs. It is optional but recommended. You won't find out your clinical site until right before class begins in August. You will get the day later in the summer when they send you the registration codes to you in the mail. If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me :-) Congrats and good luck to you guys! There are a lot of changes going on in the department right now, but they are all for the better.
