Hi everyone! My first post here!

I am applying for Spring 2010. I received approval the other day to take RNSG 1105, so I signed up for that course and feel excited but apprehensive.

I know receiving approval for 1105 is no guarantee to program acceptance, but how often does it happen someone takes the course but isn't accepted? I'm trying not to stress about it, but it's sortof difficult not to! Good luck everyone applying!

I hate to sound discouraging, but many people take 1105 and then don't get in. When I took 1105 last spring, three out of twelve of us got in. A friend of mine was in another 1105 course, and two out of eight got in.

Course, we could have been in classes with people who had really low rankings, and classes with high rankings all got in.

Just keep thinking positive thoughts! Good luck!

Thanks for the info! But oh man those odds aren't too good. My ranking score is 53.29, but clearly that may not be good enough if they are only taking 25% of those even taking 1105. I am hoping for ACC since it's cheaper and more convenient than the other options, though I might check out more on the UT AE MSN or the new Texas State program. Ugh....but I'm trying to be positive LOL

If 53.29 is your ranking score, then you may be OK. I had 52 points and was ranked 36th. It was my first time applying. I talked to several people who had 38 and 42 points and were turned down (not sure what their rank was). My hunch is you'll be OK, but it's wise of you to look into other options, too.

Try not to think about it, and have fun in 1105!

    Hi everyone,

I'm also applying to the Spring 2010 program and my ranking score is 50.4. I'm concerned because I haven't yet received an email about the 1105 class although they have started releasing them to applicants with 50 points.

Has anyone else with around 50 points received/not received their email yet?

    Thanks

Hey, roguejacque -- according to the ADN Department's Twitter account, notices won't be sent until after October 1 and will be sent via email.

I'm going to be a Fall 2010 applicant with a ranking of either 49.7 or 51.7 (depending on how I do on the HESI). When I was advised in the spring, I was told that a ranking of 50 or better was "above average." I'm starting to get really nervous now, though!

I was wondering the same thing...my ranking score is 50.68 and I haven't received anything about the class either. I thought maybe it was just me.

Congrats to everyone who did make it!

I'm super bummed. I thought I would make it in this round. My rank was 47.4. Anyone else not get in? I wonder what the cut off was this round? Last semester it was somewhere under 45. Ugh I am so tired of waiting.
How many times have you had to apply?
