I was recently placed on the legalized loophole blacklist entitled "GROUP ONE." An HCA facility has retaliated against me for being a whistleblower. I have a lawsuit against them and it's been going on for a little over a year. Anyway, i would like to know if anyone would like to join me in putting a stop to this type of employer abuse. Many careers have been ruined over this group one entity. If your boss submits your name and negative comments regarding your termination, no hospital in DFW will hire you unless they are desperate. In the event that you do get hired you will be treated like crap and will be under constant surveillance. Isn't there a nursing shortage? Let's do the math...nursing shortage percentage? total amount (%) of nurses on the blacklist and blackballed? hmm...curious? me too. I will be fighting this by myself or with all of the nurses out there who have been a victim of this type of retaliation. All the nurses in Texas should fight against this regardless if you are on this list or not. Things could change for you tomorrow. These hospitals are bullies and sometimes it takes just one person to get the ball rolling...I guess I have hired myself for the job. This abuse is so ridiculous and makes me embarrassed to be a nurse in Texas. If you are a bad nurse...dangerous...incompetent that would be a legitimate reason to have issues finding employment or having this information on your group one report. The State Board will handle your situation. In my case, because i refused to resign my director was forced to terminate me. He gave me the option to resign and NOT be placed on group one/blacklisted. He also stated that if he had to terminate me then he would have to submit the reasons for my termination on a group one report/therfore being blacklisted. This is career suicide and you can say bye bye to working at any hospital here in DFW. The point is that this service is used maliciously by employers and has spiraled out of control. Please share your experience with group one or employer threats regarding group one.

Cook Children's Med Center (Prosper)

	Hi,

Could someone guide the path of Nurse Anesthetist for my senior grad 2025,

He is currently on dependent H4 visa

Roughly thinking 4yrs of nursing school and then by 21yrs his visa would not be eligible for further studies, as he has to apply for OPT and then pursue higher studies, now after nursing he has to study for 6yrs more, could someone suggest is it safe to do Nurse CRNA during H4 till 20 yrs and when my kid is 21yrs what is the plan.

Anyone currently working in the same similar H4 situation could you please email me.

Hi! anyone here gone through or currently going through SAC's RN to BSN online program? Im wondering how difficult or hard is it? Does it take away alot of your time like an ADN program does?

I've always heard online programs in general are more about writing papers, quizzes, discussions, etc? And not so much of exam/test's the way ADN programs are? Is this true?

Is the program doable while working full time? What are your expediences? How are the teachers? Please & thank you in advance.

	OUHSC LPN to BSN 2025
hey guys, I noticed that there's not much new info on learning about university of Oklahoma health sciences online LPN to BSN program, so since I'm currently in it graduating this Spring if anyone has any questions about the program, want me to give them my opinion feedback etc. comment below! I know that when I was looking up the program, especially being out of state. It was hard for me to find anything recent. I love helping other nursing students so maybe I'll get a lot of questions. Maybe I won't.

I also have textbooks and some of them are unused.

I'm a nursing student from Europe, am halfway through my first year and so far I'm liking it, however if I were to work in my country I'd pretty much have barely anything left at the end of the year after taxes and living expenses (like either net negative or €1-2k if I'm super austere).

I'm thinking of moving to the US after I graduate (Texas is one of my top picks) due to far better pay, quality of life and autonomy; do you think in the late 2020s/early 2030s moving to the US a foreign RN is still gonna be doable or is the shortage going to be compensated, making foreign RN's undesirable by that time? I ask this because there's a very high chance I just got into med-school which would allow me for better financial security in my country (literally the same if not less of what I'd make as an RN in the US) but lower chances for emigration due to the more tedious bureaucracy and competition linked with having medical credentials evaluated abroad as opposed to nursing credentials.

I really would like to leave this country after I graduate (takes 3 years) and get a couple of years of experience here, and then offer a high demand service to a country that respects our profession; do you think the US is still going to be offering such chances in the next 5-7 years based on your observation of current trends/predictions?

	Hi everyone!

I have had my RN license in George (by exam), California and South Carolina and now I'm applying for a license via endorsement for Texas. I have worked as a RN in various states since 2002. BSN from Australia. I have taken both the CGFNS exam and the NCLEX.

I've been asked by the texas BON to upload my degree/transcripts which I have done and waiting on a review. Has anyone else been asked to do this before and what was your outcome? They are also asking for a verification of my nursing license from Australia which is well over 20 years ago. I've never been asked for my degree or australian nursing license so I'm just a anxious over it. Thanks for any input.

Hello all, I got this link from a nurse group I follow and thought it would be helpful to others. Basically nurses are posting their pay and rating their hospital. I believe this is helpful for those seeking job opportunities. I'm from the Houston, TX area and their are already a lot of submissions. Please feel free to share your own experience and pass this along to your friends ?

Does anyone know if there are any online RN to BSN programs that don't require shadowing ? As a full time working RN and full time mom I didn't realize more clinical like hours or shadowing would be necessary. I have a friend who did online during Covid and lucked out with this not being a requirement at the time. Just wondering if all school require similar? Any input is appreciated!! ?

It appears that inflation has dramatically increased the price of items. There is a significant difference between 2019 and 2024. Do you all predict that pay will eventually increase in a couple of years or will nurses continue to work out of the kindness of their hearts??
