Texas Lutheran University (TLU) - ABSN

Has anyone applied or heard of the TLU ABSN program in New Braunfels, TX? Does anyone know the reputation/ competitiveness of the school? Thanks in advance.

Hi there! I applied to the school for fall start and I am waiting to hear back. I know this program is newer for them and class sizes are smaller

Hello! I’ve heard good things about the program, and I know they recently had a 100% NCLEX pass rate. I was just accepted into the ABSN program that starts September 2020, so I’m excited to start this journey. Good luck to you if you do apply to TLU!

So I had a 3.1 pre-requisite GPA when I applied & I did repeat some of those classes before I applied. Of course there’s the essay, reference, & experiences sections, and I think those other sections helped my application because my GPA was on the low end.

Hey! I just got my acceptance for the fall 2020 semester!! I was wondering if you had heard anything about a group me/facebook group for everyone that was accepted? I'm trying to get more info on the program because I have another offer of admission too ?

@flows67 CONGRATS!! But no not to my knowledge. I’m assuming we’ll find out more during the orientation.

Thanks so much! And gotcha, I'm just trying to get more info because I have 72 hours to pay a deposit and I'm freaking out a bit LOL! Do you know where the program does the majority of their clinicals? And I know its a 16 month program, does the program finish up in December of 2021 or Jan 2022? Not sure if you know but thought I'd ask in case you do ? thanks so much in advance

@flows67 the program ends in January 2022 & I’m not 100% sure on the clinical locations yet. I did find a fairly recent Youtube video that was very helpful, but I’m not sure what plans will be for Fall 2020 & if those will be the same clinical sites. Check out this video though!
