Texas Children's Summer 2020

I wanted to start this for students/first year nurses who are applying at Texas Children's for the summer 2020 cohort, the application should open end of February/March. If anyone has insight to the firm timeline, good contacts, unit specific knowledge, this would be a good place do talk about it!

I personally haven’t heard anything, but am praying for the best. Has anyone on this thread gotten an offer or a email with the regards of an offer. I am going to wait until Friday hopefully we hear something soon. I am pretty sure working at our dreams job is worth the wait. Let’s keep praying and hopefully we hear back this week!

I interviewed with the PICU and have not heard anything!

That’s why it doesn’t seem true to me! I have tried to get in touch with a nurse manager but cannot. Maybe someone else will have better luck

Have y’all tried calling the hospital and asking if you could get transferred to the correct person, since her extension is not working

I tried, but it was just the operator and they transferred me to the main office of Talent Acquisition and no one answered. I left a voicemail and haven't heard back, that was a week ago.

Why do you think her extension is not working and she is not emailing us back? I feel like they are trying really hard to dodge all of us, I wish they would just give us some sort of update. ?

From my experience with other hospitals, it seems like the recruiters may possibly be working from home! So calling to the hospital will be no help! I received an offer from Memorial Hermann and the recruiter told me that if I had questions to contact her to her personal cellphone number because she is working from home and when I interviewed virtually with Harris Health it seemed from the background that she was also at home LOL
